SMOOTH GOSPEL.COM

Music on religious stations has pretty much remained the same over the last  three decades.  There’s Southern Gospel for the older generation of White Christians, Traditional Black Gospel, for African American Christians, and Contemporary Christian Music for young White Christians.  With Young African American artist like Kirk Franklin, and Mary Mary, coming out  of the Hip hop generation, they are finding success with young African American Christians, but have not been embraced by Traditional Black Gospel stations who’s mainstay is the old gospel quartet sound, and singers in the tradition of Shirley Caesar, The Hawkins Family, and Jessy Dixon.  More contemporary African American worship singers , like Larnell Harris, and Ron Kenoly, go unplayed by Traditional Black Gospel Stations, but are major stars in the White Contemporary Christian market.

We are introducing the newest wave in Christian music with “Smooth Gospel.com”, hosted by Constance Sikes.  At the end of a hard days work, you come home, kick off your shoes, get a glass of whatever it is that gets you through the day, and stretch out on your favorite chair.  But wait a minute, the mood is incomplete!  So you go over to your computer and type in “Smooth Gospel.com”, and there you are, caught up in a mood that takes you to a quiet place, where the soft intimate voice of Constance Sikes, brings you face to face with issues of the heart and soul.  The violins, the piano, the warm urgency of the horns punctuating the vocals, they all rise to take you into the secret corners of your being.  Constance Sikes is an ordained minister who understands that in order to win souls for Christ, you must speak the same language as the person or persons with whom you want to share the message of the gospel.  The baby boomers and the children of the baby boomers, make up the largest segment of the population, and they grew up listening to real music.  Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, Tony Bennett, Dionne Warwick, and Barbra Streisand, taught the population to recognize good music when they heard it.  Smooth Gospel.com brings back music with a message of love and hope to get you through the day.

Constance Sikes, the face and voice of “Smooth Gospel.com” exudes the flavor of the laid back, night time 60’s disk jockeys who ruled the afterhours airwaves of America.

The debut of “Smooth Gospel.com” will feature the sweet soulful sounds of MARY LOVE, an evangelist who’s quite comfortable in front of an orchestra, entertaining the audience.  Mary had several decades of success in night clubs, and recordings that reached national and international R&B record charts.  Now Mary Love has traded the night clubs for the pulpit, but she’s brought a musical fire that will light up the hearts of those searching for more than just the temporary things of life…………………….
